Oooh, Eastern.

Sorry but, it friggin' sucks here.

Not everythng sucks, but in general, yeah.

Well the positives: + Teachers are very kind and helpful, I've never had a rude or inaccessible teacher, they do actually care about you. + Pretty diverse compared to other schools.

Now the negatives:

This school is has the reputation of a piece of chalk, Eastern degrees, unless you're going to be a nurse, teacher or in business, aren't that valued.

Dead on the weekends, SO MANY COMMUTERS, this is a working man school, so there are alot of adults and commuters. Also lots of people simply go home on the weekends. Or go to the much more exciting city of Ann Arbor.

Ypsi is horrible, pretty steady flow of criminal activity, very little to do downtown, the main street has some african braiding places and NASTY restuarants. Only good thing is Depot Town.

they will let anyone in, please believe me when I say anyone, if someone can pay the tuition to go here, they will let them in… ANYONE.

Zero school spirit, and everyone knows it, no one cares about going here, some of the sports teams are actually good, but you wouldn't know it. The football team is god awful, lost every single game this season, and now they spent about 4 million on a dumb practice bubble.

The dorms suck, in most of the halls, and where it doesn't suck you're paying your arm and leg.

Nobody actually wants to graduate from here, alot of people I know are transferring somewhere else.

Basically, Eastern is comparable to a community college, just has dorms, so save your money and go to a CC then transfer, or just go somewhere else.

Wherever yougo though, just remember that your college experience depends alot on you, so this negative critique is all from my opinion.

I chose Grand Valley.
