Hello, I am completing my first year at CSU and find it to be the best college experience I have ever had. At the age of 47, I have returned to school to obtain my BS in Human Resource Management. I have been a corporate trainer for the last 10 years of my career.

At the age of 30, I attended 3 years at Atlanta Perimeter College where the majoring of my time was spend attempting to pass the math (Algebra classes) Eventually I just gave up. They will not allow you to proceed to college level courses until you complete the math requirements.

This has not been the case at CSU. I have not only taken but have successfully passed 8 classes in my first year.

You are assigned to read 2 or 3 chapter a week, and take an on-line test that is typically 10 multiple choice and 2 essay questions. The instructor posts a discussion board question and you are to answer it and comment about what your classmates have written to generate conversation about the topic.

If you apply yourself, you will find this type of distance learning program (on-line)to be very informative, challenging and rewarding. You have the flexiblity to set you own learning schedule, and can study anywhere, anytime. You save time and money on driving, parking at a school building. No waiting in lines to register for classes, and the cost of tuition includes all textbooks which are shipped to your residence. The tuition is VERY resonable. It is $195 per credit hour including books. The toal cost of a Bachelor Degree (4 year degree) runs about $23-24K, compared to other on-line schools, this is a 50% savings. All distance learning programs that offer financial aid are governed by the same Federal requirements and standards to qualify for grants and student loans.
