In regards to receiving a "college" experience Cal Poly Pomona is not the best choice. I was expecting the coursework to be more intriguing and the social life to be better. The social life at this college is almost non existent. Personally, I drive about 30 minutes away to Los Angeles when I want to go out and enjoy the nightlife. I think the school is lacking social life because the students here are mainly commuters and they tend to keep to themselves. I wouldn't mind transferring to a different college. On the plus side, the campus is really nice with lots of greenery. Also, the faculty are friendly and straightforward.
