A lot of people don't realize the history of AAMU. The initial history of the university was to give students who wouldn't normally have an opportunity to attend school an opportunity to do so. This has backfire giving a lot of students an opportunity who don't want one. A lot of times people/students say it's not a good school because of what it doesn't have. Many people are looking for handouts and a free riede. When it does not happen it is always someone eles or the school's fault. You have to understand that AAMU gives the best lifes lessons. Because it is not there does not mean it isn't attainable. You have to get it. With some majority schools everything being there you lose that competitive edge. A few students who complain about not learning at this institution are the same students who arrive to class late or text through out the lecture best of all don't ask questions. Goes back to a sensse of entitlement. Think about it… If you're a teacher and no one ask questions why go above and beyond the call of duty to teach more. A lot of teachers are brillant. They don't always have an opportunity to showcase their talents. My last point is this students have a wonderful opportunity with foreign teachers. It's no secret that things are hardly regional as much as they are world wide. Meaning that because you have a foreign teacher you have an opportunity to ask what you are learning applies to an international perspective. I lied one more thing Lol. Education is pretty comparable amongst colleges nation wide. What seperates the elite from the mediocre is that the elite college students ask questions and want to know more than whats just in the book. Mediocre look at text messages and people in class and miss the opportunity to make a difference.
