Sarah Lawrence has been a learning experience. And,I do not mean an academic learning experience, but rather an internal one. This is a place where you will spend a lot of time a alone. This is the place for the small town kid to come to the city and lets all his or her freaky-ness out.

I was surprised by the bizarre social skills I encounter all year. Sometimes you will see people in the cafeteria wearing princess gowns, men caring purses, and everyone is always in get-ups. I do not like this school, and if you are someone who would like to have fun in college (an by fun I do not mean sit in a dorm room dressed up taking pictures for facebook every saturday night) then DO NOT go here! I am not returning next year. The main problem with this school is the lack of diversity. All the students are the same. They are all artsy hipsters and it is an extremely queer environment. All 12 of the black students sit at the same table and complain about the lack of diversity?

As for the seminar style learning…it sounds good in theory, but when no one comes prepared and is unwilling to participate in a discussion the entire philosophy goes down the toilet. There have been many instances where only two students speak in my class and the other 12 sit silently, picking lint out of their bellybuttons.

I would recommend going to a larger university strong academic and many different types of students. Please, do yourself a favor and do not come here.
