HACC is a great school. I attend the Lancaster Campus. It's kept very clean. The instructors are awesome and all of mine got to know my name and me as a person. However the administration and my advisor always treat me as a number. Whenever I see my advisor in the hallway she doesn't know who I am and she never told me how many years I would be at HACC…she never helped me look towards the future. I was going to be there for three and a half years for an associates degree. Apart from the instructors, HACC doesn't have much else to offer. There are clubs to get involved in, but they're not advertized much and I wouldn't even know where to go to join one. The classes I were taking were either very hard, or extremely easy. Hardly anyone makes friends. People greet their classmates beginning after about two-three weeks of classes because after that semester you're lucky if you see them again so no one really wants to take the time to become friends. During the 'busy times' it's very hard to find a decent parking spot. And the security officers love to give parking tickets. Overall though HACC is a great school to get your general classes done with, and it's very affordable. The instructors (most of them) really do love teaching and take the time to know you individually. Even though anyone can get in, the Lanc. campus is I think second in the state for nursing. I was in the Rad Tech programme which is very similar and it's very hard. Great school though. I'd recommend it to anyone.
