Oklahoma is a Christian school, which means a private school and also not cheap. Oklahoma Christian is considered to be one of the more open minded colleges in the Church of Christ genre. Although the University upholds the Church of Christ doctrine in a lot of the rules established for both students and professors.

This being said there are a lot of hard core people who believe that their way is the right way and nothing else. So there are going to be people who are going to bible bash, but most are more than willing to at least let someone be. Most students and professors are willing to talk about anything with anyone.

This is not a college for those looking for big parties with lots of alcohol, or those with alternative life styles. If the school catches either on campus (and sometimes off campus) you will be penalized and most likely sent to counseling. Of course you can always get around this as long as you?re not silly enough to go out drinking with an Oklahoma Christian University t-shirt on. Now there are plenty of people who drink and there is still a lot of fun to be had that does not include alcohol, you just have to get out of your dorm room and look for it.

I loved the time I spent at Oklahoma Christian Uni, and I wouldn't take anything back. The campus is small and the professors do care about you. The education may not be the best but it's not the worst. You just have to decide if the smaller Church of Christ environment is worth the price. I did and there are many who agree with me that this smaller and more caring environment is worth it, unless you are looking for a more secular education or possibilities.
