Nicholls is one of those fantastic hidden secrets in education. Truth is, it's outstanding here. The students act more like it is UCLA than a school in the south. They're more serious than LSU students, too, most of the time—that isn't a sweeping generalization: if the ratings people would actually visit, they'd learn a few things. Where else can you go and see a giant paper shark that says to the LA gov "Stop Eating Education?" LSU didn't do it. Nicholls did. The library is also one of the best on the planet. The staff and faculty there want to help students succeed. And they're knowledgeable. If you want a party school, go elsewhere. If you are creative and want to be set up to do well academically and practically speaking, go to Nicholls. BTW, we do have the best food, too.
