Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time)
The head of Criminal Justice, Dr/Captain Ken Ayers, is also advisor to all CJ majors. He doesn?t even attend commencement and is in a drunken stupor all summer, every summer sailing his boat in the Caribbean. This is his second job. Nude sailing cruises: If a student has a question during these three months or opts to take an internship, they are completely alone. He told his class numerous times that he gets paid more for nude sailing in the summer than teaching at KWC. We really know where we stand on his priority list. I was one of the few students that suffered through Dr. Bruce Gay's reign. He admitted to hating all Jamaicans during lecture and elaborated by stating how seeing a man with dreads just makes his throat tighten and his face hot. This man was inconsistent in his teachings. On Tuesday ?A? would be the correct answer and on Thursday ?A? was wrong, we should have chosen ?D? for the same question. He was incompetent and ignorant and often quoted ?The 700 Club? This man was simply not an intellectual. He was a hate-filled, bitter man. My final was 38 pages long and all short answer and essay. Unrealistic. I don?t think he even graded it, but simply assigned a grade. Memorization, intense, temporary, memorization is all he could offer his students.KWC did not renew his contract due to all of the students? cries of agony, but this action came too late for those of us that had no choice but to take him. Not many courses are offered at this school. However, they opted to hire his wife, Sue Weaver, whom merely had her Master?s, to take over his courses. I guess the hiring process is a popularity contest.I graduated a year ago and still have not been able to utilize my degree from this private $23,000/yr college. The career assistance for alumni is a joke. The best jobs they can direct you to are for AT&T or the local YMCA for $8/hr.When I chose this major I was shown an elaborate list of all the jobs for which I would be qualified upon completion. Where is that list now?
