Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
I have enjoyed my time at WNEC thus far. The quality of the faculty is very high. Many of my professors were Ivy League or top-tier grads. The campus is beautiful as well and the people are okay. The school has a heavy emphasis on professional-liberal integration. So if you're an engineering student, be prepared to take more liberal arts classes than usual. Basically the administration wants professional graduates who are steeped in softer issues.Liberal arts students do not have to take business or engineering classes, so you can get a pure liberal arts degree. I was one of these students and found the experience valuable. It is hard to get too high in the ivory tower if your roommates are all finance majors. As others have commented, the prevailing conservative environment on campus would make "individualists" (and liberal activists) unhappy. The last protest here was 40 years ago and I saw a student comedian get instantly booed off stage for doing an anti-Bush routine.Another tip: don't judge the place by your first semester. Half of the students in my dorm flunked out before midway freshman year, leaving the serious students a lot of elbow room.
