Naropa fully prepared me for starting my career as a therapist. My MA degree was in transpersonal counseling psychology with a concentration in wilderness therapy. I'm am very happy with my choice to go to Naropa and am constantly grateful for the skills and perspectives I learned there. I knew I wanted to be the type of therapist who strived for congruence within myself, and Naropa strongly supported this as well. I can't say enough good things about Naropa as far as professional and personal development go. Naropa and Boulder do have their annoying down-sides, but it is all tolerable when balanced with all the great parts. I now have a career and life that I love.

I came with previous work experience in the field and this really helped me with how I choose to focus my projects and achieve a deeper level of training. I recommend coming to Naropa grad school with previous work experience, as this played a huge role in my ability to apply what I was learning to real-world understanding of the field.

My one hesitation initially was the cost, but now I'm paying back my loans at a VERY affordable rate due to IBR (Income Based Repayment). Naropa was the best choice for me in every way.
