Saint Leo is a wonderful university for the non-traditional student. It provides quality education and individualized attention. I have attended on campus classes for the past two years and have found the facualty very knowledgable and professional. However, the student body does lack the maturity to make class more rewarding. Perhaps it is my age (27), but I have found very few students willing to actively participate in class discussions and seem to lack the drive to learn to the best of their ability. There are of course several exceptions to this and I have enjoyed working with them immensely.

Although I have noticed many of the departments lack the same quality of professors, the Social Sciences department at Saint Leo is phenomenal. Very well educated and experienced group who all work together to make the cirriculum challenging and help prepare students for the competitive fields of political science, law, international relations and history.

I began my scholastic career as simply a way to check the proverbial box and earn my degree, now I realize I should have gone back to school sooner as I have learned much that would have helped me.

I do suggest that non-traditional students seek an Associates Degree prior to enrollment. I found the LINK (gen. education) classes very simple and hard to get absorbed in.
