I'm a Grad/Licence student nearing graduation next semester. I must say, I have experienced more self absorbed faculty and staff at this institution compared to any other school I have been to. The corruption in this establishment has sucked the very life out of this college. Maritime College is living off its previous name of being a quality institution. I have witnessed students being racist in front of their superiors, destroying the facilities on campus, and using their student leadership has leverage within the regiment. This school makes me sick. The administrative staff and faculty have very little care about the actual student body. It seems to me that a paycheck is more important here then any type of concern for the students well-being. I mean, don't get me wrong, I get it. The school doesn't need to be any different because of the nature of the campus. It offers a decent program in Marine Transportation, and the regiment isn't horrible. If you don't consider its strong inconsistencies. If you aren't one of the regimental favorites, dont expect to get the same treatment as the others. It's such a sad and comprimising situtation.
