When i first started at mercy college in the fall of 09, it was horrible i wanted to leave as soon as i got there. I am a dorm student, and that is the main reason why i wanted to leave. The dorms are crappy! its not due to the cleaning staff, it has everything to do with the students. They are very messy, and the bathrooms are left a mess, the guys use the girls bathrooms because they are too lazy to go to their own.

Being that the dorm students are messy there are HUGE bugs that crawl around, to me this is very unacceptable and unsanitary!

Now social life.. there really isnt anything to do on the main campus. but there is the metro station about less than 5 minutes from the campus and you can go into the city. thats the great part.

I made some really nice friends! and thats one reason why i chose to stay. the classes are nice, and so are the teachers. i have no problem with academics.

I am apart of the PACT program, and its really nice, because they have events. Like we went to the Schomburg Museum and then Sylvias to eat. then at the end of the year we went to Six flags. and my Pact mentor is great , she helps me out alot!

Financial aid people are very unorganized and they do wait till the last minute to tell you the important things you just have to stay on their ass to get your shit straight! lol…

The food there is good. depending on what you get.. i chose to stay at mercy for another year. But i am really contemplating on leaving. for the simple fact, its not what i thought my college experience would be like. Mercy is really what you make of it. You either like it or hate it…
