Well, I will honestly say that as a gateway programme student, I was not impressed. The gateway programme is designed for people who didn't exactly make the cut but were given a chance and had resources given to them, which most of us didn't know about until after the fact. The fact of the matter is the quality of education I received was 20x better in my HIGH SCHOOL which was FREE and PUBLIC. In High school I actually had an advisor who knew what she was talking about. In Arcadia, I ended up taking a shit ton of credits that were all electives because my advisor told me to! I mean Arcadia, some of the Professors are incredible, but their English department is atrocious. The psyche department is excellent, and the PT and Bio areas of the schools are absolutely awesome. However, I do not understand how some of them get hired, I do not understand the reason that I had paid 43k a year and basically got nothing for that money that I spent. I should have stayed up in New England, our universities and people are 50x better. I went and registered for classes at my community college, it took literally 45 minutes. I got an answer straight away, it was all a streamlined process. Arcadia, registering for classes involved running around campus for 2 hours in hopes of getting your advisor, who was NEVER available when I needed her. PS, do NOT do work study, get an off campus job. In fact, if you got into another school, you're probably just better off going there.
