Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
As an English major working on a journalism certificate, I appreciate the experience I have had thus far at TU. The English faculty is wonderful - very approachable and interested in students' progress. Both the lower- and higher-level courses that I've taken have been rewarding and have definitely taught me to look at literature in new ways.

The extracurricular groups are very welcoming to new students and offer a myriad of opportunities for greater involvement if you are interested in taking a leadership position. The social life is all right - there have been several new bars, clubs, and cafes popping up in the surrounding areas since my freshman year, which gives us a nice change from the frat houses and on-campus parties.

The school seems rather singleminded in its push to rise in the national rankings. The constant construction can be a huge pain. However, despite this administrative attitude, I think the faculty and staff do a good job of catering to students' needs. It's easy to develop quality relationships with professors (which will be good for my law school recs!) and I have always felt like a valued member of the university community rather than a "number."

All in all, great experience. Would definitely return if I had to repeat my undergrad.
