Rows=6 cols=34 wrap=virtual Hello! My name is Brian. I am a sophomore at UIC, and I am considering transferring to UIUC for next semester. I am a political science major as well. Your comment has been one of the most helpful. Would you mind giving some specific advice? Thank you! |
Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Going to U of I is overall an amazing experience. The average person is white, affiliated with the greek system, and born/raised in Illinois. The difficulty level depends on your major obviously. I do not have to work as hard being a political science major as my business and engineering friends do. Teachers are all required to have set assigned office hours so even though some classes are big you can always meet one on one with your TA or teacher to get help. Downtown Champaign is nothing spectacular but there is so much going on on green street and at the frats that it does not matter. All the bars are located on the same street (only 19 to get in so everyone goes). Frat parties are very big here (we have a HUGE greek life). Sports are great to get involved in we have (usually) good football and basketball teams every year and everyone goes to the games AKA big school spirit. GO ILLINICONCLUSION: You have your whole life to live in LA, Chicago, or NYC why not live in the epitome of a college town and spend 4 years in champaign? Yes there is more to life than waking up at 8am to tailgate but why not have some fun while going to a top #40 university.
