Date: Jul 24 2010 Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time) Since WNEC is respected for its professional and grad school prep, make sure you keep your GPA >3.8 and do at least one internship a year. Do work in your intended field over the summer. Ask your department if you can take a grad-level class during senior year.If you wanted a school where you can get into a great job or grad school just by the name on your degree, WNEC was the wrong choice. However, if you are willing to work hard and take all the opportunities you can, employers/grad schools will be fighting over you. WNEC grads have a reputation for being much more scrappy than their Ivy League counterparts. We have a can-do approach to things.I've had several employers look at my transcripts and say they were totally impressed by the logical progression of classes I took. Well, that's what happens when you have an advisor who is watching your progress closely. Don't kid yourself. WNEC can give you a strong start and a solid degree with great profs, but your success "out here" is up to you.
