I decided to go to Barry because I was not interested in FIU nor Miami University.  Barry also has an accelerated program that I was hoping would help me to get my B.S sooner so that I could go for a masters.

I graduated from Miami Dade College for my Associates with Highest Honors and am also a member of the Society of Leadership and Success.  I am incredibly disappointed with Barry University.  Yes, the campus is pretty.  Yes, the faculty and staff are friendly and approachable, and yes the lunch room and food is excellent but the education is awful!!!  I have taken a couple interesting courses but my classmates are not very bright - and I think that is the norm here as the teacher's have gotten used to treating the students as if they are dumb.  And they do this without being rude, but as an intelligent student that enjoys being challenged I am often flabbergasted on how stupid my classmates are and how much time professors have to use to explain certain assignments, such as formatting, and tests.  The professor's practically give the test answers away!  The classrooms are not attractive in the least and I often wonder where all the money goes for the school as tuition prices are outrageous!  There are alot of great professors but my professor for Social Welfare is a complete moron and waste of time and money.

Barry University is a waste of time and money... and a waste of your intelligence.  If you are looking for a easy (expensive) ride then this school is for you.

I prefer a great education where I can be challenged, put good use to my smarts and to enjoy school, especially if I am paying for it!
