I've gone to UNCG since 2005 intermittently, only to find that this school is exactly as most of the previous commentators exclaim. It's a high school environment and nothing more. You're treated as a number and are never given a chance to find what you need to succeed in a college environment. If you want to be looked upon as a child, choose UNCG. Example, you HAVE to see an adviser who tells you what classes you should take, otherwise you can't register for classes. You HAVE to show up to class with the exception of a 3 day absence policy, regardless of you having to work since you're an adult. They expect that your parents are paving the way for you as a college student. They once called me after my 5th semester that I'd attended, and wanted to talk to my parents, yes my parents, for a survey on how UNCG is doing! RIDICULOUS. Choose to live on campus and deal with how crappy that is, because if you choose to live off campus you're likely to have your car broken into by the surrounding lowlife population, or maybe your banking branch will get robbed, or you may be mugged on your way back to your car after having a few beers at the local bar. This campus is not worth anyone's time.
