Major: Unknown (This Major's Salary over time)
Sexism at this shoddy institution is rampant (perhaps due to the fact that the school was once all male), however, I found that the professors treated the females different from the males, even if they were more intelligent and received higher grades and SAT II scores than their male counterparts. Moreover, the only women who were hired to work in the laboratories tended to be overly proper and stereotypically ladylike in appearance and demeanor, cleaning and organizing for their bosses like house maids. Essentially, if you are a woman who desires to be a real scientist, do NOT go to Umass Lowell unless you want to become a beaker waitress for an average, biased scientist.
