The Ramapo College of New Jersey

Well to start off..if you are looking for a party school,Ramapo is not for you!

Ramapo's sourrounding area is fairly calm and the campus is well kept and beautiful. On the other hand, security is not that great in the parking lots. There were cars that were puposely vandalized and including my car, but in my case it is due to ethnicity and i stood up for my self (the person wrote a racist comment on my car and I am not the only person that this happened to.)

When i reported this to the security office, the officer admitted that the school doesn't fund much to fix many parking lot cameras, so to catch the person doing these acts are slim.

I am a tranfer from another college and I like to see diversity in the school. I loved how my last college celebrated culture by involving students, professors, and clubs. They used to put up small dance performances,music, and/ or offer food at the student center; you can feel how students were interested and curious at the same time. Than I tranferred to Ramapo, I actually experienced culture shock lol, i never saw people so seperated into thier little groups, it just amazed me. People there are very closeminded, i think some came straight out of highschool without any knowlege of other ethnicities.(you can tell how immature many these students,when they think all hispanics are Mexicans or illegals. EXCUSE ME IM NOT MEXICAN OR ILLEGAL THANKYOU! and not all"MINORITIES" are from the ghetto) Trust me you'll find those snooty boys and girls who think they are so hot, It is pretty annoying; you just want to smack some sense in it to them. lol

On the other hand, the program i entered isn't bad. The program is focused, but sometimes the professors make the material or testing material harder than it is for no reason.

It is a love or hate type of school, i kind of dislike the school's culture, but the program is good
