EMU gets a bad rep due to it's location. Ypsilanti isn't the safest city, but that should take away from the educational experience of EMU. It was a wonderful school and I have really enjoyed every minute of it. The professors are so helpful and down to earth. I have had many friends graduate and find great jobs, even in this economy.

It is really what you make of it. Get involved somehow. There are many clubs and activities to participate in. Coursework is challenging if you choose a more challenging major. I am always looking for a challenge and so far I have been quite impressed.

President Martin has done a great job in turning around EMU. They have a new science complex with a planetarium being constructed, new signage around campus, and upgrades to all of the freshman dorms. On top of that, they have zero percent increases in all room, board and tuition rates.

The school also has great resources and tools to help you acheive and reach your ultimate career goal. It has been a great experience.
