I
am surprised at the number of negative reviews for this
school. I relocated to the northern Virginia area from
a more rural part of the state, where I had
attended a small liberal arts school. I wish I had
skipped my “traditional undergraduate experience” altogether and gone straight to
NVCC. You get a university-level education at half the
cost. The professors are VERY qualified without being arrogant
(which is what you find at some four-year schools).
One of the best things about NOVA is the
absolute array of classes available. There are more options
in terms of classes and majors available at NVCC (Russian,
anyone? Health Sciences?) than there are at many colleges.
At NOVA, you aren't limited. Classes are available in
many different subjects, at many different campuses, and with many
different schedules (morning, evening, weekends.)
