i am at the beginning of my sophomore yr and i am not the supremely rich or wealthy at all im actually in a bit over my head when it comes to debt and will be graduating with upwards to 80 K in loans but i am absolutely confident of procuring a job. i went to a previous school for two years private as well but realized in my field i needed a BFA to get a higher paying job. and since credits dont transfer i was out of luck as were a lot of older students i talked to surprisingly. i have learned more in my first day of classes than in a whole semester at another school. they teach you design skills from the ground up and they do it fast. alot of people struggled in foundation year but it seemed fairly easy for me and those that have some talent. i have been challenged in my thought process and way of viewing art design and well everything. its really a well rounded education with lots of connections and the friends ive made here are amazingly gifted and nice. there are alot of koreans who cant articulate their projects to the class so its alot of repetition and struggle for group work but there are also alot of people that are completely untalented and unoriginal with everything or who dont give any effort and fail miserably. you have to be mature, do the work and think outside the box and youll be fine. the campus is new york city the buildings are superior in design and aesthetic (with up to date modern eco friendly bathrooms)compared to any college or university ive ever visited ( and ive been to alot of colleges all over the USA) its a wonderful school but dont come here if you think fashion is easy and glamorous because its alot harder than you could ever imagine and you truly need to have an art background and natural ability to do well.
