Attended Iona for one year, before transferring. I found the classes to be quite easy, getting a 3.7 GPA for the year without any studying and without doing work. However, to be fair, one cannot expect core classes to be overly challenging. My advice would be to strongly examine your own goals before deciding to attend Iona. My primary reasons for transferring were the lack of a quality education, and the type of student which is prevalent at the college. My new University has challenged me far more, and has required much more thought and work, however you should examine what type of student you are. Students at Iona typically use class as a social meeting, and a way to find new friends. Past noon, the majority of students focus more on their looks than anything else. As a whole, the Iona College student body is more focused on attending "Metro 53" or going to a party than class. Intelligent conversation with an average student is near impossible. To sum up my advice to you, I would like you to imagine yourself on any kind of sports team. Would you treat this team as a *insert sport here* team that occasionally drinks, or a drinking team that occasionally plays *insert sport*. Most Iona student would choose the latter, and it was that attitude that drove me to transfer.
