Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
The academics at this school, especially if you are going into the hard sciences or engineering are exceptional. This is a not very well known school that year after year is ranked in the top ten of liberal arts schools in the North East. The problem with the challenging academics is that your GPA will not be inflated like at other schools. Especially in the science classes the class average will fall between 70 and 75 percent. The standard deviation is pretty much a bell curve so 50 percent of some of the brightest students in the school who all work exceptionally hard will get C's or lower. There have been times where I studies 50+ hours for an exam that wasn't a final received a B+. Everyone here cares about their grades and studies so you won't have the sweeping curves that you find at large universities, especially for Monday morning exams if you get my point. If a big city with lots of night life is a must for you then don't come here. The professors are the best I've ever met and none of them have tenure. They are here because they love to teach and the administration feels they do a better job than anyone else they could hire.
