In my experience, (2000-2004) Mary Washington provided an excellent education to motivated individuals. Professors were accessible and intelligent. The size was right for me. Small enough to form a community of people you know. Large enough so that it isn't like high school. Fredericksburg is a great little town, if you take the time to get to know it. Complaints about a lack of a social scene (which were present during my time there) fall on deaf ears. Join a club…there's hundreds. Go to a bar…there's a dozen downtown.

In my experience, a well rounded college education prepares you for the rest of life's travails. Don't be too concerned about the "reputation" of the school. I don't think a single employer has ever cared whether I went to MWC, UVA or Harvard. If you're smart and you work hard, you'll be fine.
