| Susquehanna
University is in the middle of nowhere but that doesn't
mean it's not a school worth checking out. I never
would have thought when I was dragged there by a
high school friend while we were looking at colleges that
I would end up there, but I applied and I
loved my 4 years at SU. I was involved in
Greek Life, but I was not a partier or big
drinker. There is more to the Greek Life system than
that if you pick the right sorority. That choice is
up to you. I switched majors several times at SU
and every time my department head was helpful and kind.
The majority of the professors are down to earth, and
some I even keep in contact with even now, 2
years out of college. I could not ever replace the
friends I met at this school, as they made the
sometimes boring nights because of a lack of social scene
completely worth it. In my time there, they built TRAX,
a new social club-type building on campus to give students
more options of places to go. The administration doesn't always
make the best decisions, but they try, and their IT
department is one of the most helpful of any college
I've seen. If people want to rip on it for
the area I can understand that, but Bucknell is only
15 minutes down the street with the same atmosphere, and
I know they don't have the heart that Susquehanna has.
