I got the same sat score and am applying in a month what was your gpa mines a little weak. I'm pretty worried about getting in. |
Have you been trained, or you just a natural when it comes to smarminess? |
Do you enjoy shooting off your mouth and making claims with no evidence to support them. Quit being the fuckin' retard you are and learn to think before you open your mouth. |
Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I don't know what a lot of people are complaining about. First of all, the ones that are complaining don't have a basic grasp of spelling and grammar. First of all, campus aesthetics is purely an opinion-based judgment. if you don't like buildings that were modernly built, then you probably won't like SFSU. But the campus is FAR FROM UGLY. It has wonderful grassy areas where people won't care if you just lay in them and bask in the sun.Second, people here are SO OPEN-MINDED. I don't know where all the comments about people being close-minded are coming from. No one will judge you based on how you dress our express yourself, and definitely no one will judge you for your sexual orientation. There are even club you can join to meet other gays and/or transgender people. Third, the social life here is what you make of it. Of course if you stay in your dorm room most of the time the social life will definitely suck (which I am betting most of the people here that commented negatively on the social life are doing). I stayed in my dorm for a few weeks and I was so lonely (of course I was, no one could see me and I had no friends in SFSU!) So I joined a few clubs. That widened my social network. Then I wanted to watch True Blood, but I didn't know anyone so I put up flyers asking where I can watch it. Sure enough, people contacted me and asked me to join them so I did! This is college, people! Nothing will automatically be given to you. You actually have to lift a finger to get someplace (oh my GOD!)The academics here are quite good. I find my classes challenging and I got a 1790 on my SAT (on the first try!). You have to be independent. You can't whine and skip class when you feel like it. That's your loss (and you're paying for it so why not take advantage of it?!) The faculty is extremely friendly and accommodating. All you have to do is ask for help and they are always eager to do so! My Poli Sci professor for example helped me with tough aspects of readings and projects. If you get bad grades, you can't expect your professor to treat you like you're in high school and put 'See me after class' on your paper. You actually have to confront them yourself (oh my god, they won't spoon feed me? what kind of college is this?!)The most important thing is YOU'RE IN COLLEGE NOW. Be more independent and self-reliant and you'll have a satisfying experience. And you'll make more friends if you're reliable!
