I enrolled in GCU last year, and it was OK at the beginning; although they did enroll me in the wrong degree program to start, and I had to catch the mistake as they had no idea. Over the past few months GCU has been going through some changes, and while change can be a great thing, it is best to perform some risk management prior to just throwing the students to the wolves. I chose GCU because it purported to be a Christian college, but they are not interested in treating their students Christianly any longer…today it is all about their bottom line, and they are now making sure that they keep every penny of student aid which has priced a lot of students out of their education as we can no longer afford books, supplies and incidentals to continue. I am saddened by the fact that every time I contacted them, I had a new student advisor that may or may not be there long enough to reply, and when they do, they are rude and belittling. I have decided to give my education dollar to a true Christian college…Liberty University!

questionI noticed that you marked educational quality as an "F" , but only talked about financial aid. They don't keep your financial aid, that would be illegal. Instead, they don't allow you to borrow more than you need, thus you get lower refunds. Do you actually WANT to borrow more than you need so you can't finish your degree when you hit your maximium loan limit and have bigger student loan bills in the future?
