Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
University of Hawaii at Manoa is a good school… for science majors, Asian Study/languages, and Pacific Islander Study programs. If your major is something like psychology or engineering, I do not recommend coming here. Most people who are here are Marine Biology majors and other science majors. The programs are very well-known. Since the school is so close to Waikiki (tourist spot & beach) there is a lot to do on the weekends. Easily a 30-40 minute walk from campus or you can take the bus. (Transportation cost is included in tuition) The campus is very pretty, with lots of trees and green scenery. The weather is almost always nice, usually in the mid-80's. I know that many people are saying that people here are rude to Mainlanders and other people from out-of-state, but I've had no problems so far. People here are very friendly. They are not close-minded. I tend to find that people coming from out-of-state are more close-minded and ignorant.
