Out-of-state students, beware of the light Seattle rain, and the grey clouds that follow. But do not think that the UW is all gloomy and down-beat. No. The weather here makes you appreciate the cafe scene, the gym, the green, the sun (most of all), the library, and the night scene. In terms to academics at the UW… When you take classes at the UW, never, never, never compare yourself to the average GPA. You'll only lower your goals, and it will not satisfy you in the long-run. Always go for that 4.0, because this is a very very GPA oriented school. And that GPA is your profile picture for applying to your major. Sleepless in Seattle? Yes. The party scene is nice here. If you want a drink, or want to just go crazy… You are taken care of here. But applies to the shady kids too. Crime is a huge concern on the outer parts of the UW campus. A lot of stealing, breaking-in, and drug-dealing goes around at night. So watch out for that. The UW is a beautiful campus. It will catch your eye every time. It still does for me. Husky pride feels good. Hope to this answers at least one question for yall.
