Major: Music - Composition/Theory (This Major's Salary over time)
all this negative talking about Berklee is making my temperature rise.I hated that place. so many rich asshole who think they are the greatest no matter what anyone says.. even if they totally suck. My roommate was a Mexican guy who had absolutely no talent on his bass but he thought he was the greatest thing in the world. it was infuriating. people there tended to have inflated egos to the point of seeming mentally ill..the teachers horrible. not nice. Amd yes, they often wouldn't show up even though they would still get paid and there was no way to be paid back for missing lessons. I remember Christine Fawson was gone like half the semester. I didn't do so well that semester. Its true the teachers seem more worried about themselves and they're dying performances than they are about their students.on the drug dealer thing.. so true!! I'm assuming these guys didn't havbe to audition and were posing as rock musicians or something. they would use their dorm rooms to deal weed or cocaine or heroine whatever out of. teachers really did seem to turn a blind eye to it. I know some of the teachers get supplied drugs by the students too! also yes I have heard of a couple teachers offering answers to tests for large amounts of money ($500?). bc when I was there the untalented students were out of control and the faculty was desperate. the only thing Berklee taught me to tell you the truth was how to look out for scam businesses. the whole thing just felt like a manipulative advertisement for itself…
