Regis College sucks. It is a school which rakes in a lot of money and provides little in terms of technology or state-of-the-art facilities. The best faculty seem to disappear after a few semesters. The long-timers are pains in the a$$. There is an old saying: "nurses eat their young." That is true in many cases, but does not have to be. The old timers at Regis believe that repetitive, boring, time-wasting exercises and plagiarism dressed up as a master's thesis is very important to the aspiring nurse. The few faculty that made it a good experience seem to quickly find somewhere else to work. Students I knew paid others to write their papers. I did some nursing fresh out of school but I moved away from Massachusetts and found something altogether different and more rewarding than nursing. I try to forget my time there at Regis, but I will share a memory with you. Sadly, my funniest story from Regis involves my clinical instructor getting yelled at by a nurse at a prestigious Boston hospital for mistakenly discontinuing an IV for a patient on the childrens' floor. I still remember that evening like it was yesterday, and thrill at the misfortune and subsequent embarrassment of that crass idiot. Labor and delivery was my favorite clinical, but that particular teacher did not last very long. I say: stay far away from Regis; I'll be paying those loans off for another 25 years, and I could have had a much better nursing education from a state college.
