Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
Well let me start off by saying that parties on campus suck!! That goes for the ones thrown off campus and the ones thrown by the school! Very dry campus and cops are super anal about everything that goes on Thursday nights. The food is awful except for Crimson and once you run out of dining dollars your best bet is to starve. As far as the academics goes it all depends on your major. The town that surrounds the school is dead, its like a ghost town on the weekends. Its definitely a commuter school during the day it may seem lively but as soon as the sun goes down everyone disappears. Sports teams suck there not worth going to watch. Homecoming and SpringFest two of the most important events of the year were wack!! The committee thats in charge of throwing events on campus suck, they spend so much time worrying about the themes to BINGO night instead of trying to bring concerts here or special guest!!! Is it really that hard????!!??? I'm in college not a freaking nursing home BINGO should not be an option!! Thats another thing i swear this place reminds me of a nursing home. I'm planning on transferring I've ENOUGH of this PLACE!!!!!

commentLike you, I made a less than prudent and nonviable decision to major in "Communications" at Bridgewater State University (or College, as it was known as at the time).
Also similar to you, I focused on the social aspects of "higher education" rather than the academic aspects.
Although both aspects are not equally as important, both should maintain a correlating level in comparison to one another.
Even if the academic aspects were highly focused on, Bridgewater State University is (and has been) an extremely poor institution for the Bachelor of Arts Degree program/major known as "Communication", and any concentrations within the department.
Your writing style and contextual narrative is certainly more than adequate for identifying you as a "Communications" major.
You must know what I'm talking about; this is not a dig at you, but an assertive prompt for you to consider exactly what you are giving this school your money for, or placing yourself further into debt with both subsidized and unsubsidized student loans. Either way, we are all buying into the college scam and inflating the student debt bubble, and making a lot of people wealthier because we have all been told that college is the next step after high school, to follow your dreams, and that an education is worth any amount of money.
I wish you the best in earning your degree, and hope that you consider the long term criteria that makes college worth being college.
If this is done before you've bought into the BSU Communications Studies racket too far, then you may even have a chance to switch majors or transfer to a college that will actually teach you more than the art of BSing facts and opinions via multiple page papers.
