Hi all. I write this to inform prospective students about the quality of this school. I came to this school despite the terrible things I heard about it. Many reviews I read (some from this site) and others' personal experiences have a majority of negative responses. I chose to come here thinking that these people just didn't know what they were talking about, were too lazy and unmotivated, or simply didn't put their full effort forward.

However, I was terribly wrong, and the decision to come here is regretted. The staff grades in unheard of ways, caring more about your syntax than your correctness. Although not true for everyone, many will be in danger of losing their financial aid early on. Drexel inhales money and will often screw you over to get their paws on it. The quarter system is also badly handled. The teachers don't really teach or guide you with regard to what they expect. If you want to do well, be prepared to spend more time teaching yourself the material than you would think.

While Philadelphia is an exciting city in which to live, life on campus is a different story. Unless you join a fraternity, the party scene is sub-par. Many end prematurely, lasting only a few hours of the night, leaving you searching for something else to do late on the weekends. If you are 21 or over, you will likely have more fun on the weekends given the bar scene. If you are a girl, however, you have an advantage at parties due to the large number of men compared to women.

Much of what I said seems highly critical of the school. Unfortunately, I speak the truth. There are certain things which you must accept if you are to be satisfied with Drexel, such as the horrible financial aid office or the poorly designed quarter system. Chances are Drexel will shaft you sometime during your enrollment. I went in disregarding reviews from here and elsewhere, but now that I experienced it for myself, I am disappointed for ignoring those signs in front of me. If you find yourself enjoying life at Drexel, I applaud you, for it something I could not do, despite my perseverence. If gain nothing more from my review, take my advice to evaluate and re-evaluate your college options before choosing your school. Ultimately, you are the one to live with the choice made, whether at entails happiness or regret.
