I really do love this school, I'm just not sure that its the right fit for me. The three biggest majors here are marine science, international business, and smoking pot. I chose this school because I thought I wanted to major in the later. While I've had so much fun here and I LOVE the area and people, I'm starting to feel like I have chosen the wrong school for my major (communications). Eckerd does do a wonderful job at providing a liberal arts education, but if you have a specific path in mind that doesn't have to do with science or international business, you might want to look at other school.

One of the things I love is how much people smoke pot around here. Literally over %80 of the people here smoke on a regularly. If your a stoner this is the place to be. The number two pot school in the country. But even if your not, don't worry, no one is going to be a dick to you cause you don't smoke.

also, on an unrelated notes, while the location of Eckerd is amazing, the buildings suck. If you do go here, try to live in Sigma, they have the nicest rooms (along with a private bathroom for ever room). Also the campus has a ver high theft rate. Bikes get stolen all the time (even when they are locked). i know a few people who have had things stolen out of their rooms ( the doors were unlocked) and one person was passed out in his room when he woke up to find four guys going though his things. A few days ago someone even broke into our theatre and stole a $500 strobe light. Security doesn't really do shit other than be complete dicks about you not having your student i.d. when your tying to get on campus. (but thats kinda nice too. they really don't care if your smoking, and as long as your not holding a beer can or something, they won't get you for drinking)
