As a prospective student is was very easy to disregard the negative opinions and say college is what you make of it. Most transfer students are unhappy, they describe the student body as close minded, not out going and snobbish. The kids at LUC believe they are better than everyone else. When asked about any stereotypes on LUC, answers include; smart, party school, cool kids, preps, prestige etc. How Modest right? The truth is that LUC will accept anyone that is willing to pay, (80% acceptance rate), has a total of two student bars (no dance floors), most students live in their dorm rooms, and personality-wise, if they aren't socially awkward they are liars with low self esteem. The Dorms at LUC have insane restrictions. Quiet hours at 10, you have to register guests to get them past the gate keepers, you are limited to 2 guests a night and they can't stay past 1 am. This is the mindset of Loyola, you can't have a traditional college experience IE partying, hanging out with a group of friends etc.I previously attended the University of Iowa and to be honest I wish I was still at the University of Iowa. Don't disregard me as a cry baby that can't fit in. Iowa is one of the 10 best party schools in the nation, and besides the out of state tuition I did perfectly fine. To the prospective students, if you still don't believe me, I can't really blame you. I read LUC's reviews, I made the same mistake and I am transferring next semester.
