Although The Art Institute of Pittsburgh has an attitude, it is a good school; it is the flagship school for the Art Institutes. It is a for-profit art school, so financial aid is going to feel cold and is, indeed, without compassion. However, the curriculum here is challenging (even for me). They teach you things that you actually can use, as well as give you a good background in art history, theory, and philosophy/ethics. I feel very well rounded in the art field, and also, simultaneously specified. There is no question in my mind that I will have a bright and creative future due to this school, however, I wish the administrative side at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh would get their ass off their shoulders, take off their designer sports coat, and give a shit about the students as people (opposed to reaffirming stereotypical, snooty, art school pretentiousness).
