I am close to completing my first semester at ASU and I am already seriously considering transferring. I feel like I have no value at the school. There is just way to many people so I can't blame the school. I feel like the only thing they care about is that you graduate because the graduation rate is so low.

The teachers I have had so far have actually been pretty friendly and accessible. However, my advisors for my major are extremely incompetent.

ASU's biggest selling point would probably be the social aspect. Like most colleges I'm assuming, the first week or so everyone is in that super awkward 'I don't know anyone, super-friendly' mode. But as the weeks progress people get in their cliques and become d-bags. The school is mainly composed of a bunch of California broskis and clorox-bleach blonde sorority girls. Arizona State's reputation as a party school holds true. In my first semester, I've been to some amazing house parties. If you are not in the fraternity or a girl, you will not get into any frat parties but you can easily find a party that is just as sick or sicker. And the thing with Tempe is there is more to do than just get drunk with your friends on weekends. There's a lot of night clubs and restaurants to add to the things to distract you from school.

commentHe's right about the graduation rate, which is a mind-boggling 29%(!!!) (no, that's not a typo) at the four-year mark, and only 59% at the six-year mark. Even UC has got rates that are 20-25% better than this. Going to grad school? The same *DELAY EFFECT* applies. Time for Arizona to wake up and realize that ASU is a @#$% partner for education and economic development.
