Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I found the school was okay for just general education courses, but for my major in computer science…the teachers and staff were just completely horrible. I went in knowing little to nothing about computers,etc but I had the interest to learn about it. I realized most if not all besides a few older students 30-40+, were the only ones in my shoes…starting off not knowing much about the field…(which should be expected at first). Well the point being is that, the faculty in this major are very arrogant, unhelpful if you don't know anything. I found with the exception of 1 great teacher their who only is for a few classes, Craig Watson was great, and the rest of the staff should follow example of this guy…he should be teaching most of the computer science/information systems courses!! He understands people aren't all know it alls in this field, and helps everyone out. Many of times, I would ask the 2 major professors in this study, for help on why you do this or why do that, show me, don't do it yourself and not tell me. If they would do it but not explain it, and also if I needed physical help on a problem, they would explain it over and over the same thing, and not physically help me solve the problem. Wouldn't knock this school entirely just the major teachers of computer science, computer informations systems, networking, security, etc!! horrible!!
