I was thinking of majoring in eaither Geoscience or enviromental science. I was wondering what life was like after college, was it easy to find careers? What you did to pursue this path after graduation? Thanks |
Major: Geography and Geosciences (This Major's Salary over time)
Fort Lewis is an awesome school, especially if you are looking to study Geology. You get such a strong hands-on experience here, because Durango and Fort Lewis have such great geology right here at home. You get to see the rocks in outcrops rather than just hand samples, which is super beneficial. Also, because of the surrounding geology, we get a lot of field work, which a lot of school don't. I recommend this school, especially the geology department, to anyone thinking about majoring in geology. You get such a great education here and the teachers are amazing. You are more than a number, and more than a student in the department! You are their friend and the professor will do whatever it takes to help you succeed. Plus, all of the professors in this department have their PhDs and are specialized in certain fields. This allows you to learn about every geologic area of study, and the specifics in a certain area of your interest. You can't beat the education, the environment, the resources available to you here at Fort Lewis!
