I'm an undergraduate at the University of La Verne and let me just start by saying if you are looking for a school that is spirited, is fun, has intelligent people, is a party school, has great sports, and is challenging, La Verne is NOT for you. The reason I came to La Verne was because of small class sizes, for their apparently excellent business major, and because I had a good amount of scholarships. Unfortunately, this school is so unenjoyable all of that stuff does not matter to me anymore. The town of La Verne is so boring, there is nothing to do. And when I mean nothing I mean NOTHING. Everything is closed by 8 and there are no parties at all. On the weekends the school is dead quiet and most students go home. U of La Verne fails at entertaining students with activities on the weekends. Hell, they don't even have a gym open! or volleyball courts or basketball courts! I've never played so many video games and watched so much cheap cable in my life. No one goes to the sporting events(probably because our sports are awful, football has one four games over the past 4 years). This campus is small and uninteresting with a small student body consisting of mostly commuters and unclassy ugly people. Brandt and Stu Han Dorms are disgusting and uncleaned, get in Oaks if you come here its a little better. Now classes here are as easy as they come. Most people here aren't smart enough to succeed so they really dumb it down for them. It's not challenging at all. The one plus is that the teacher will help you and that it's easy to get good grades. So when I get the hell out of here I'll be able to transfer to somewhere somewhat prestigious and fun. And by the way the forbes, us news rankings are BS. This school does not deserve to be that high. It's an all around horrible university.

I too agree with you. This university sucks and takes anyone to get the money. The professors are so jealous of me because I'm smarter, richer, and more attractive that they'll ever be.

They don't call it University of Loserville for nothing. I didn't have the stats for a good school, so I just went here. I should have gone to Compton Community College. Even that's a better choice.

All of you sound like a bunch of winners! And you think you are to good for this school, what a joke.

What's a joke is this university. I think that good students deserve a lot better than the terrible education this university has, if you can even call it an education.

For the initial reviewer, you seem more deserving of a highly renowned institution instead of ULV. You deserve to have real college fun at a university, which ULV doesn't have the capacity for. ULV only has the capacity for the kind of fun atmosphere that you would find in elementary school. It's super easy to get a high GPA at ULV. An A here would be about an F at a renowned place.

I can see why the very few serious students deem themselves as too good for this school. What's wrong with believing that for this amount of tuition money, students are entitled to a lot better than University of Loserville? The faculty here can at least make the school feel like a four year college, not like a continued high school.

If you're going to be paying tuition, then you should complain that you deserve better!!!!!!!!

I agree with the bad reviews on this site because I believe that coming to ULV is the worst decision I ever made and it's going to be hard for me to change schools because most of my ULV units won't transfer to another university.

Well! Now classes here are out of this world simple. A great many people here aren't sufficiently shrewd to succeed so they extremely moronic it down for them. It's not testing by any stretch of the imagination. The one or more is that the instructor will encourage you and that it's anything but difficult to get decent evaluations. I also need rush my essay but happy to place my point as response of this article. Hope, it will useful for others.
