I don't regret my four years at Ole Miss, however I do not think it has necessarily prepared me for the future. I graduated in 2009 and immediately went on to obtain another bachelor's degree in a completely different field. I don't think Ole Miss really cares all that much about academics, especially most of the student body. Like others have said, most students care about having fun, dating, greek life, etc. I was in a sorority and went out and all that, but I can tell you that by my junior year I was burned out. Oxford is a beautiful town with lots of charm, but if you are from a big city (like I am) you will find it stifling. There are not many options and it is difficult to get to (i.e. the nearest airport is Memphis). I would never tell someone NOT to attend Ole Miss, but I would suggest they explore other options because I think that minus my wonderful friends, I could have gotten the same experience elsewhere.
