As far as academics go, Eastern has some very strong departments and some pretty week departments. I might be transferring in the near future, but not because I don't like the school; it is solely because I cannot afford it and I feel as if my specific academic department is not as strong as I would like it to be. So far, I have really enjoyed myself at Eastern and I believe that it is a great place to grow and learn about yourself. The people are nice, it is definitely a safe environment, it's location is excellent, and it feels like home. If you have the money needed to attend this school without breaking the bank, you should go for it. If not, you can get just as good of an education at a state school, but the experience will be totally different. Also, compared to other Christian colleges, Eastern's rules are very lenient. People who complain about Eastern's rules should not be at a Christian college in the first place. Overall, I recommend going to Eastern depending on what you are planning on majoring in. All departments are pretty good, but some are better than others.
