There's no way I would ever apply here. This is where all the slackers in my highschool go to. I see people whose colleges are listed as Salem State that I remember failing many classes and or taking gym twice a day as their electives.

I'd rather attend a community college first and transfer somewhere better if I had to settle for this school.

Now, I'm sure there's some smart people that came here for whatever reason, but the people I see going would be horrible to be around.

If you like being around slackers who drag down the class or people who make the class unbearably easy because the teachers have to go over every little thing, then this is great for you.

I doubt those people can change their ways in only a year.

People don't even have to submit their SATs until June.

People who say the name doesn't matter are lying to themselves. Of course a higher ranked and more selective university accepts better students. That means you'll be around smarter people or at least those more serious about their education.

Here's a subjective view on the type of students who go there. Prissy girls with semi-wealthy parents who only cared about their social life, not school. Jock type guys who were similar. Stoners who failed a lot.
