My BS degree from Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) was opened doors to interesting employment in technical fields in private enterprise, and in state- and federal-level government positions. MMA is a serious school for hard-working and goal-oriented young people. It has a lot to offer for the aggressive student who's also willing to contribute. Among similar colleges geared toward marine engineering, engineering in general, and maritime transportation, MMA in my opinion is prestigious. Hiring and operational managers in the field have been well pleased with their hirings from MMA. MMA has enjoyed a great reputation in many fields. Experience in MMA's Regiment of Midshipmen and NROTC has had the effect of maturing many a young student to a certain mindset of getting things done. Gards have done very well in many fields. One casual look at any alumni directory will prove that. MMA is highly recommended!
