Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I did both my undergraduate degree (life sciences) and Master's degree (public health) from University of Toronto. Here are my pro's and cons of both experiences:UNDERGRADPro's: If you are passionate about what you are doing, you will do well and go places (amazing opportunities are there for those who show initiative), very multi-cultural, beautiful campus, and very accessible to everythingCon's: is tough cut-throat competition, unavailable professors (not to generalize though - I had some amazing professors who really changed my life and I admire to this day, but they are a rare find in ANY institution), stressful and large first and second year undergraduate class sizes, bureaucracy. GRADUATE SCHOOLWas nothing like my undergraduate experience. I absolutely LOVED my grad school experience and would do it again. Pros: Lots of one-on-one attention, interesting classes from the best professors in the field, intelligent and helpful classmates, lots of opportunity to network both within the research and industrial domains. Cons: No cons.
