The University of North Carolina - Greensboro

I transferred to UNCG from a community college. I was looking for the college and social experiance that I wasn't getting from the community college…was I wrong to look for that at UNCG. I have honestly had the worst time of my life here. I thought that since it was a smaller school and more geared toward the average student, I would find a great group of people. Wrong. What I've found is the majority of the campus is arrogant, closeminded, and cliquey to the extreme. Like someone below said, if you don't find a group in the first week prepared to have a lonely year. Not even in highschool was it this cliquey. People will tell you to get involved, but most organizations are geared toward the black students unless you want to go greek. So if you are white and non-preppy, there is basically nothing.

The academics I find are ok. Though if you are wanting to challege yourself, find another school ASAP. The classes are very basic and easy. All classes I've taken require you to attend which gets annoying when you can easy read the books and only go to the tests and get by just fine.

Overall, if you would like to have the college experiance everyone talks about, don't go to UNCG. As for me, I can't transfer out of here fast enough.
